Alcoa Swim & Dive- Week 15 Email
Hello Alcoa Swim & Dive Families,
This is a big week with the swimming portion of the KISL Championship Meet happening on Saturday, January 24 at Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center, University of Tennessee, 2200 Andy Holt Avenue Knoxville, Tennessee 37916. This will be a huge day for all of our swimmers so let’s make sure we are prepared and ready for some fast swims. The kids have worked so hard and it is time to display that and represent their team this weekend.
Today is also the deadline for t-shirt orders. We have had responses from K.Davis, L. Alley, M. Kyte, and T. Kivett. If you would like to order any additional team t-shirts, please fill out the form here before 10pm tonight.
Here is what you need to know:
- Team dinner will be on Friday, January 23 at 5 PM at the home of Tungsten and Tokgnar Davis. Kaye Davis will be cooking for the team and this will be a time of fun and fellowship for all of our athletes. The address is 1611 Mountain Quail Circle, Maryville, TN 37801. Please visit the Sign Up Genius here to select the items you want to bring to help make this a great dinner for the kids!
- All meet information can be found here on our website. Please bookmark this page as all updates will be posted here including heat sheets.
- AHS swimmers will report no later than 7 AM on Saturday morning. AHS swimmers will also return for finals if they finish in the top 16 in their events. Alternates (those who place in 17th and 18th place) will also be asked to return for high school finals. We do plan to feed all high school swimmers after their session. We will have sandwiches that have been generously donated by our local Subs and Such. Please visit their website here and support their business to return the favor.
- AMS swimmers will be asked to arrive at Allan Jones at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 24. Middle school swimmers will have one finals session. This meet is similar to the recent Ray Bussard Invitational we attended in December.
- Job Assignments should be distributed to us on Monday, January 19th. Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities.
Again, we will post information to our meets page HERE as we receive it.
