Hello Alcoa Swim & Dive Family,

We have a busy week with our first dual meet of the season on Wednesday! See below for important announcements:

• Congratulations to Carson Coker (200 Fr), Tori Goff (100 Fly), and Ethan Scruggs (500 Fr, 100 Br, 50 Fr) on achieving State Qualifying times this early in the season. Awesome job!
• Our team suit order has shipped! We are not expecting suits to arrive in time for our meet Wednesday, but if they do happen to get here we will bring them to the meet. Any black or dark-colored plain suit is fine to wear if they are not here in time.
• We hope to have our team gear by the end of this week. Coaches will distribute orders as soon as they arrive.
• Please continue to RSVP for practices via the Heja App and for meets though our Swimtopia Website or the Swimtopia app. We are getting very close to max limits for practices, so it is very important that you let us know if you will or will not be attending. The deadline for RSVPs for our meet Wednesday is today and should be done this evening if you have not already submitted your RSVP. The deadline for our meet on the 22nd is open and you should declare for that meet prior to Nov 19th.

**Middle Schoolers- your RSVPs are complete and entries have been changed over to the AMS site. This is a technicality that will be fixed through the registration process next season, but in the meantime know that if your child is showing “not entered” in the meet any longer, they are! They have been entered through our new Middle School Swimtopia site that will be used solely for entries. All results will be transferred to their current account and attached to their profile post-meet for record-keeping purposes.

Arrive by 5PM. 

The address for the pool is:

2118-2198 Branner Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760 located in the Maddox Student Activities Center at Carson-Newman University. There is no charge for parking or entrance to the meet. There will be no concessions available. Please allow around 50-55 minutes travel time to the meet.

Warmups will begin at 5:30PM and the meet will start at 6PM.

The worker's meeting will be at 5:45 PM in front of the scoring table.

If you need transportation, please let coaches know ASAP and we will be glad to help you get there. Please make sure your swimmer comes prepared with snacks! We need to make sure swimmers are fueled for their swims and there will be limited food options around the immediate pool area.

Lastly, given the blast of arctic air coming our way, please pay attention to the Heja and Swimtopia apps for any weather-related or cancellation announcements. In the case of any Alcoa City School closures in the future, we will not have any after-school activities including practices or meets. This will be communicated via alerts sent through these apps and to your email inbox. For tomorrow make sure to bring warm, dry clothing for after practice-it will be COLD!
