Hi Team!
Here we go! Region Champs Weekend is here and this is what you need to know. Please read the entire email to the end:
Our main communication hub for all things KISL Championship is HERE.
KISL will be updating information for all participants at their website HERE.
Heat/Lane Placements and Results will be available through the MeetMobile app. (This is a different app than SwimTopia and we HIGHLY recommend downloading to follow along with the meet.)
Please be prepared that there is NO Free Parking on campus any longer. Information about Parking can be found on our Team Only Meet page for this meet here. If you need to carpool, please reach out to Coach Hana directly.

If there is an emergency and you are unable to attend the evening session, you MUST scratch your event within 30 minutes of the posted results so as not to incur a potential penalty for our team.
Athletes will be seated on deck in a designated area and parents will have spectator space in the stands. Camp chairs are only allowed in the main hallway underneath the stands and space is limited for outside chairs.
Many thanks to Mark and Misty Scruggs who are completing our entire volunteer requirement by running the Scoring Booth. You rock!
Tips for Athletes: This will be a long preliminary session with a lot of swimmers and more downtime in between events than a typical dual/tri meet. Make sure to bring warm clothes/socks, snacks, water/sports drinks and entertainment. Once a timeline is available we will post to make sure you are able to pack food/fuel accordingly. All athletes will participate in prelims and all athletes are asked to attend the finals session either to compete or support and cheer on your teammates.
Uniform: Please wear Alcoa gear and your Alcoa Team Cap. Coaches will have extra caps if you need them. Technical Suits ARE okay for this meet. Swim & Tri will be set up in the lobby if you have any equipment needs.
SEASON CELEBRATION
We will be celebrating our season and getting ready for KISL with a Pasta dinner hosted at the home of Kristen and Craig Dutton. Please find information about the dinner HERE. We ask that swimmers bring drinks or dessert to share. Dinner will be provided.
This is what we have been working towards all season! Let’s be prepared and have a great meet. Athletes if you have any questions or need to communicate information to the team, please reach out to our Team Captains. Parents, as always, feel free to text Coach Hana or Coach Selena if you need anything. Goooooo TORNADOES!
